So a couple of weeks ago my dad noticed these little black bugs on my skin. He told me that I had fleas and they were biting me and making me itch. Stupid little bugs, go bother someone else. So my mom went to the pet store and got a liquid flea medicine that the clerk recommended. Then my mom put the medicine on while my dad held me still. Everything seemed ok for a little while until that night.
That night it could not seem to cool off and I was breathing heavy running around the house. Also my side kept having a mind of its own and making me move. It was making me jump all over and I couldn't let anyone pet me, which makes me so bad because my favorite thing in the world is to get pet. I was so miserable. Finally my mom called the vet and she told me I had to go get looked at in the morning.
I don't like going to the vet all that much. Actually I get a little nervous going to new places in general, but at least I had my mom and dad both there to hold me and let me sit on their laps. When the vet came in she took my temperature, I hate the way that do that! And I also had to get a steroid shot which I did not like either. But the good news is the vet said I didn't have to stay for any more tests. That's good because I really don't like it when my parents leave me.
When we got home I had to have a bath in special shampoo, another thing I am not fond of: water. But that is for another time. After the bath they had to rub this special oil on my skin so it would stop moving on its own. That part was nice because I got a nice long rub down, it put me to sleep it felt so good.
Now two weeks later I am finally starting to feel back to normal. My skin is not itchy anymore and we have not seen those little stupid black bugs either. I hope they don't come back, but at least we know what medicine I can use to kill those bugs this time. Only Frontline for this little pug :)
